Ceremony Help
The Minister for Indigenous Australians has given us limited funds to help Aboriginal families meet the costs of summer ceremonies. The following rules aim to make sure the money helps as many families as possible and is spread evenly across our nine regions.
CLC constituents can apply for up to $400 per ceremony to help cover the cost of fuel and food for these events. They can split this amount as they wish.
Elders and community leaders are responsible for making sure the money goes to the right people and is shared equally among families.
Before completing the application form, constituents should discuss the information in this poster and letter with the regional services team on (08) 8951 6250.
Suppliers, such as community stores, should also read it.
