Aputula Rangers

The emerging Aputula Rangers are based at Aputula (Finke) and work mostly within the Aputula and Pmer Ulperre Ingwemirme Arletherre Aboriginal land trusts, the Akerre (Mac Clarke) Reserve and across neighbouring stations. The rangers work to preserve the unique Waddy Wood (Acacia Peuce) population in the Akerre Reserve, protect sacred sites and help traditional owners develop a management plan for the proposed Simpson Desert Indigenous Protected Area.
